Understanding Scorpio Season: November 2021 Energy Update
Embracing the gifts of Scorpio Season

Scorpio Season runs from approximately 10/23 - 11/22 each year. This year the New Moon in Scorpio fell on Thursday 11/4/21, with the portal staying open throughout the weekend.
The astrological sign of Scorpio as an archetype or energy pattern is deeply misunderstood and often unnecessarily feared in popular “western” culture.
Scorpio is a profoundly emotionally sensitive and intuitive (psychic!) water sign. Scorpio is ruled by the Pluto, the planet of going into the shadows to release buried power, deep transformation, destruction and death. All of which are necessary parts of the cycles of life, creativity and rebirth.
I once had someone with 4 planets in Scorpio say to me, "I love Scorpio season, said no one ever." And although this made me laugh because it held some pop cultural truths, I also felt a bid sad that the deeper transformational gifts of Scorpio Season can be lost to so many.
This fear and misunderstanding of the sign of Scorpio, is very similar to the fear of the full scope of the divine feminine including the dark goddess(es). Which is connected to the persecution of the witches, the priestesses, the Druidesses / Druids, the midwives, the magical ones, the Shamans of Olde. This fear often extends to anyone who courageously stands on the fringes of society, on the fringes of the Spirit worlds and the physical worlds, on the fringes between life and death.
(To that end, anyone who mis-judges all Scorpios as "too intense, too sensitive, too secretive, too power-hungry likely hasn't learned how to love their own shadows, and this can include other Scorpios! I am being a bit dramatic and playful here to make a point.)
Just as many people have found deep healing in reclaiming the archetype of the "WITCH" (this Halloween + Samhain I feel this resurgence more and more palpably!) part of my soul's journey has been in reclaiming the archetype of the High Priestess and of the Psychic from the denigration of the crumbling patriarchal paradigm.
I love this definition of a Priestess and although I do not know who originally spoke these words, every time I read this quote it speaks to the Inner Priestess in my Soul.

The Priestess leads from the heart and is infinitely + wildly creative because she embraces the necessity of "metaphoric" death and destruction in order to create anew.
The Priestess has the profound healing ability to go within the shadows to find the light, love and power buried within the dark and to bring those energies into pure conscious awareness.
